Product Photographer / Technical Coordinator
The successful applicant will be a self-starting, independent individual who will have experience in digital photography, editing, lighting, and shot setups, as well as general sorting and organization of product in many categories including glass, porcelain, silver, jewelry, fine art, furniture, carpets, and other types of material. Applicant must be enthusiastic about art & antiques and/or willing to broaden knowledge. A prior knowledge of antiques/fine arts not necessary, but highly advantageous. Computer skills are an essential skill set particularly with regards to photo editing, Lightroom, Excel, Word, and a generally high experience/comfort level with import/export of data to and from the Cloud. Day-to-day involvement in the auction preparation and catalog creation will be a considerable part of the responsibilities, including day-of-sale clerking. Day-of-sale and auction preview duties will also include interaction with clients and fulfilling requests for condition reports with additional photographs. Strong social media skills including working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram is very useful. Candidate must be discreet, dependable, highly organized, and reliable. Previous Auction House experience highly desirable.
