The Role

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday. 


  • Daily opening and closing of the office

  • Office administration including creating accounts, receipting property, entering accurate client terms

  • Administrative tasks such as answering phones/taking messages, filings, mailings, office upkeep, etc

  • Ability to handle incoming cash, checks, and credit card payments and reconcile on a daily basis

  • Greeting consignors and clients

  • Respond to client correspondence e.g. handling phone inquiries


  • 2+ years of paid administrative experience

  • Enthusiasm about art & antiques and the willingness to broaden knowledge (prior knowledge of antiques/ fine arts not necessary but preferred)

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written

  • Commitment to an exemplary level of client service

  • Good time keeping, the ability to use time efficiently and to prioritise

  • Strong IT processing skills e.g. MS Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and database knowledge

  • The ability to quickly adapt to new software environments

  • Discreet, dependable, highly organized and reliable

A Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred but not required.

Previous Auction House experience is strongly preferred but not required.
